A YouTuber who filmed himself hurling insults at Jair Bolsonaro on Thursday virtually misplaced his telephone to the Brazilian president, who tried to seize it off him.
Social media influencer Wilker Leão approached Bolsonaro outdoors the president’s official residence within the capital Brasilia, calling him a “coward” amongst different taunts.
Footage broadcast by native channel TV Globo confirmed Bolsonaro grabbing Leão’s shirt and arm. The president’s bodyguards then pulled the YouTuber apart.
Moments later, the influencer was allowed to return and communicate to Bolsonaro.
Bolsonaro kicked off his marketing campaign on Tuesday for Brazil’s presidential election in October.
