An uncommon duo is profitable laurels for India in karate.
Geeta Godara, 60, and her 13-year-old granddaughter Aashka lately gained medals in numerous classes at a global karate competitors in Dubai.
Ms Godara, who lives in Gurugram in Haryana state, started studying the martial artwork simply two years in the past – she was impressed by watching her granddaughter, whom she used to accompany to a karate faculty.
With encouragement from her coach Sunil Saini, Ms Godara started her uncommon new innings.
Aashka says she felt embarrassed when her grandmother first started studying karate. Now, she simply feels proud.
