Citi Raises AMD Stock Price Target, Cites Meta Muse Release

Atif Malik of Citi has increased AMD’s price target on stock from $575 to $800. Malik points to the debut of Meta Muse—Meta’s personal AI agent—as a potential catalyst for higher chip sales at AMD. According to the analyst, “Following the release of Meta Muse and our subsequent CPU TAM raise, we are raising estimates on AMD given our belief that AMD will be the primary beneficiary of the CPU renaissance and our belief that Meta is one of the largest customers of AMD’s server business.“

Can Meta Muse Deliver On Citi’s Stock Price Target For AMD?

The financial institution maintains that AMD is positioned to lead during the shift toward agentic AI. While generative AI heavily utilizes Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) resources, agentic AI places a greater reliance on Central Processing Unit (CPU) capabilities.

Malik projects that AMD’s total addressable market (TAM) for CPUs will expand dramatically, jumping from $29 billion in 2025 to $300 billion by 2030. This growth projection equates to a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 60%. As Malik notes, “We still expect AMD to be the key beneficiary of the CPU renaissance and Intel as a secondary beneficiary.“

Amid the broader artificial intelligence boom, AMD has emerged as a top-performing equity. The firm’s financial results have consistently surpassed Wall Street forecasts, highlighted by a nearly 50% year-over-year revenue jump to $11.5 billion, beating the roughly $11.34 billion analysts had anticipated. This upward momentum is expected to persist alongside rising demand for data centers and AI hardware.

Additionally, AMD revealed plans to purchase World Labs—a prominent AI model laboratory—for $8.2 billion. This buyout could bolster confidence among Wall Street observers regarding the company’s valuation. AMD shares reached a record peak of $658.52 on October 5th, 2026, while the enterprise’s market capitalization surpassed the $1 trillion threshold in late September, placing it among an elite group of global firms.
